About University of the Sunshine Coast
The University of the Sunshine Coast is a modern higher education institution located in Queensland, Australia. Established in 1994, what was then known as the Sunshine Coast University College opened its doors to 524 students in 1996 and was granted full university status two years later, inheriting the name it uses today. USC is in a period of rapid research development and growth, building research capacity, productivity and output. In 2018 the Australian Research Council ranked USC above or well above world standard in seventeen key research areas and equal to world standard in nine others* (Excellence in Research for Australia report). Our researchers collaborate with local, national and international governments, institutions and industries to deliver innovative, high-quality research with real impact.
